siding_blueUpdating the vinyl siding on a home is a great way to add curb appeal. Like other products, vinyl siding has improved over the years and we are proud to offer a wide range of siding types and quality levels. We offer installation of traditional lap siding, dutch lap, board and batten, and shake. By combining different types it’s possible to add character to your home and achieve the design you are looking for.

One of our latest projects included installing foam backed lap siding and board and batten, while installing vinyl shake on dormers. The original home had wood panels, which we removed, then installed house wrap, then installed the siding. In addition to installing the Cypress siding below, Chapman Construction trimmed out the rest of the house in linen. This included linen 6″ seamless gutters, linen corners, soffit, and fascia. The end result is beautiful and completely changed the look and appeal of the home.

Siding Install

As you can see above, we mixed cypress colored lap siding, with cypress colored board and batten. Walls were then trimmed with linen colored fascia, soffit, corners, and corbels.

Lap Siding

In this image you can see the mix of siding types, along with the aluminum linen colored wrap we used around the windows. This is a great way to frame the accent points on your home.

Shake Siding on Dormer

This siding picture illustrates the use of vinyl shakes on the dormers. You don’t have to use the same type of siding all over your home, mixing up siding types is a great way to bring character to your investment.

Shake Siding around Door

This entry way was trimmed with wood siding. We removed the paneling, flashed the door, walls and ceiling, then installed shake in the small areas around the door. This created a welcoming and updated focal point for the front of the house.

Board and Batten Siding with Ribbon

Board and Batten typically only comes in 10 foot panels, so in this example we had to install a ribbon. The linen colored ribbon breaks up the different wall covering types. From this picture you can see the Cypress board and batten and traditional lap siding in the gable.

Chapman installs many different types of siding in the Evansville area, including a wide range of color options. It’s possible to mix and match designs, colors, and trim to bring out the beauty of your home. We offer free siding estimates, so it’s easy and no commitment to get started.
